How were the pyramids constructed?

A main complicatedness in front of the builders of the extremely old Egyptian Pyramids was that of receiving the full-size stone block to the tallness they required. The technique shown at left, is the only one established to have been used. The ramp was built on disposed planes of mud brick and rubble. They then drag the blocks on sledge to the wanted height. As the pyramid grow taller, the slope had to be extensive in length, and its bottom was widened, else it would fall down. It is likely that for the building of each pyramid, more than a few ramps were probably used.

Drawing showing ramp built in the region of a pyramid the agreement of the ramps used for building is in much argument. Pretentious that the step pyramid was build before the external structure, and then the stuffing blocks were laid on top, the ramp could have run from single step to another rather than imminent the pyramid face at right angles.
