The step pyramid

From corner to corner the Great Court of the Pyramid compound of Djoser from 2667 - 2648 BC, the subsequent king of the third Dynasty, stand the footstep Pyramid, located at Saqqara shut to up-to-the-minute day Cairo. It is supposed to have been shaped by one man, Imhotep. He has been call the Doctor, Sage, designer, the Astronomer and far above the ground Priest. During an excavation in 1924-26, a base of a statue of Djoser was found. This multifaceted represents the primary major work in stone. That is, if not there are other works that have yet to be bringing into being.

The statue of Djoser that was brought into being by excavators was found in the Tomb Chamber. This figurine was injured but still intact. It is situated in the Cairo Museum. The Tomb Chamber has a copy of the figurine in this blue-tiled room. It can still be see from side to side the viewing slit that is at the entry. The hall is closed to the public. The Scholars supposed that the roof of the chamber possibly would give way. The hall walls have inscription that show further than any doubt that this is indeed an interment chamber. It also contains contribution rooms and most of the additional features that were often establish in both earlier and later on tombs.
